The Kings Basin Water Authority oversees Integrated Regional Water Management (IRWM) planning within the Kings River Basin; of which the City of Dinuba, Kings River Conservation District, Alta Irrigation District, and the County of Tulare fall within.
The Kings Basin is a sub-basin of the San Joaquin Valley groundwater basin, within the Tulare Lake Hydrologic Region. The IRWM region includes nearly all of the Kings Sub-basin and small portions of the Delta-Mendota, Kaweah and Tulare Lake Sub-basins.
