Potential Solutions: This project would upgrade services such that a meter can be installed; install the meters, along with a radio read system to limit the increase in worker hours needed to read them monthly.-There is now under construction a second 27 inch line that is about one mile in length. This proposed project would connect to the end of that new main, and increase the sizes of some of OMWC's water mains such that a redundant water transmission pathway would exist completely independent of the current transmission main, and connecting into NORMWD's system. The design is already complete.-This Project would create another Turn-out, connected to the Oildale Mutual water system; thereby reducing the water velocities upstream.-This project would install Solarbee tank mixing devices, along with associated electronics, and chlorination equipment. The tanks being fully mixed will allow for a uniform chlorine level, reducing the amount of chlorine added, and provide a better quality water.-Replacement of majority of distribution system, and customer service lines. OTHER - Design and Construction-The project is the construction of a 6 foot high concrete block wall, topped with barbed wire. This wall would completly surround the District's water tanks and pumping facilities.-A new water line to transport this water to a point where it can be blended with better quality water.
